Remove a business from this index

Submitting this form suppresses the business immediately. We do not ask for proof, we do not review the request, and nobody will follow up with you.

This form is not a sales channel. The address you give here is used once, to confirm the removal, and is excluded from every outreach list we produce. That exclusion is enforced in the code that generates those lists, not by policy.

Getting back in

Reinstatement is the one place we require proof, because otherwise the removal above would be meaningless — anyone could put a business back in against its wishes. Removal is frictionless and reinstatement is not; the asymmetry is deliberate.

You prove ownership in two steps. First tell us the business and its domain, and we issue a verification code. Then either add that code as a DNS TXT record on the domain, or enter the code we email to an address at that domain. We only accept the domain that was recorded when the business was removed — a domain offered for the first time on a reinstatement request proves nothing about who owns the business.

What removal does and does not do

The business stops appearing on every public page, immediately, including pages already cached.
Its own page returns 410 Gone with noindex, so it leaves search indexes cleanly rather than lingering as a soft 404.
Its badge stops being eligible on write, not at the next scheduled run.
Future runs will not re-add it. Suppression is keyed on the business identity, not on a database row, so a fresh extraction of the same name stays suppressed.
We keep the underlying model responses, because they are the evidence behind claims we already published. We publish nothing from them. If you want them deleted outright, say so in an email and we will do it.
